Project Work
The Journey has developed a unique project management framework that has been developed from:
- a strong project management model
- a lifelong learning and development focus
- an understanding of the not-for-profit sector
- many years of working with people who are marginalised, particularly people with a disability.
Our framework for project management supports learning and development for each person involved in the project and has been specifically developed for groups who may not be used to working with a project management approach.

Our Project Management Model
We have developed and tested a methodology that ensures that we work through project phases in a supportive and collaborative way with project stakeholders.
In brief The Journey’s phases of project management are:
- Creation – the project proposal is developed.
- Collection – information about the project is gathered through research.
- Confirmation – the project is clarified and agreement gained.
- Construction – details necessary to the project’s success are implemented.
- Conduction – the project is delivered.
- Completion – the project is reviewed and evaluated.
